Sacramental Preparation
OCIA: Becoming Catholic
Each semester, the Thomas Merton Institute runs courses for those interested in becoming Catholic, both for those who are not yet Christian as well as for baptized Christians who are interested in being received into full Communion with the Catholic Church. They are received into the Church normally during Advent as well as during the Easter Season. For more information, please contact Father Landry.
Sacramental Preparation
Each semester, the Merton Institute runs programs for baptized Catholic students who have not yet received all the Sacraments of Initiation, including Confession, First Communion, and Confirmation. They normally receive these Sacraments in Advent or in the Easter Season. For more information, please contact Father Landry.
Weddings and Marriage Prep
Father Landry provides marriage preparation for Columbia Catholic engaged couples in anticipation for marriage, whether they are planning to marry at Notre Dame Church, at St. Paul’s Chapel, or elsewhere. For Columbia alumni hoping to get married at Notre Dame or St. Paul’s, he likewise assists with the necessary paperwork and formation.
How to Make a Good Confession
We are pleased to provide these resources about the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Choir/Music
There is a student choir that sings at the 5:00 pm Sunday Masses as well as a group of cantors who lead the singing. Musically gifted students are strongly encouraged to put their talents to good use by joining. For more information, please contact Father Landry.
